Canadian Center for Architecture, Winter 2014
Montreal, Quebec, Canada
A public workshop for people of all ages, The Fun Palace focuses on cybernetic notions explored through Cedric Price's iconic project. Ideas of spatial mobility, new medias and prosthetic aesthetics emerge as drivers of the project. An immersive environment is created within the Victorian context of the Shaughnessy house that transforms into a hybrid of a theater stage and nightclub where participants parade with body alterations. Be a cyborg for the day and speculate on fantastic architectural futures! Photography rights belong to the Centre Canadien d'Architecture.
