Canadian Center for Architecture, Winter 2014
Montreal, Quebec, Canada

This workshop invites students to be active voices in the planning and development of actual building sites in Montréal. Learning from the radical transformations of downtown Montréal in the 1960s and its impact on our urban fabric today, students will create a design proposal for a site currently undergoing redevelopment. Each year the site chosen for redesign will change to keep up with contemporary planning debates in Montréal, with an optional guided tour of the site available. Curriculum links include history, contemporary world issues, citizenship. Photography rights belong to the Centre Canadien d'Architecture.
